Health and Safety: Alford Traffic Services is committed to providing high standards of health and safety and as such are currently in the process of achieving the ISO18001 qualification.
Environment: We try to reduce our impact on the environment as much as is practicable. We run a modern fleet of lorries, predominantly Euro 5 compliant using Adblue to reduce emissions. We have a rolling replacement program to be fully Euro 5 in the near future. We recycle our tyres, remoulding after first use and then recycling the components. We minimise our empty running to be as efficient as possible. We intend to be ISO14001 certified by the end of 2010 which is an externally certified standard.

Management Systems: We use RoadRunner software which is a suite of programs specifically designed for the Transport Industry and is generally acknowledged as the market leader. All of our office staff are trained in all aspects of the RoadRunner software and the systems and checks in place keep errors to an absolute minimum. We are currently working towards gaining the ISO9001 qualification in Management Systems.
Regulations: We comply with all VOSA, Working Time Directive and EU Drivers’ Hours regulations.
